Kasturba Gandhi police nabs wanted criminal

The Kasturba Marg police have nabbed two thieves who were wanted for murder at various police stations. 

Criminal Uma aka Gudiya is a Rawal Pada’s resident who used to dupe people. However, she was not the only one, she was accompanied by two other criminals named Anil Chauhan (28), Mangesh Chauhan (30). Among these two, accused Mangesh is an auto driver by profession.

On August 3, a senior citizen heading for Bandra boarded Chauhan’s auto at Borivali. After a while, Gudiya and Anil Chauhan got into the auto. They started manhandling her and threatened her with dire consequences. They took off her golden ring and bangle and dropped her at Bandra and ran away. Victim shared her untoward incident to her relatives who took her to the police station. After filing a police complaint, they started looking out for the accused.

Initially, they got hold of Mangesh who was a serial offender. He helped the police to nab two other accused who were on the run. All the three accused were arrested on August 8 and now have been sent to judicial custody.
