The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has succeeded in arresting four people who were smuggling ganja from the state of Odisha. 111 kg of ganja was seized from the accused and its value is INR 2 crore. NCB has also seized two vehicles used for smuggling. It is suspected that other accused are also involved in this case and NCB is investigating it.
The NCB had received information that large quantities of ganja were being smuggled into Maharashtra from the state of Odisha. On the basis of that information, the NCB had monitored the movements of the smugglers. At that time, NCB got the information that ganja was being distributed in Pune and Mumbai and soon a large amount of ganja would arrive for the ganja sellers in Pune.

Based on that information, NCB was searching for the accused. But the accused kept changing their hiding place, route, and mobile number frequently. Keeping in mind their modus operandi, NCB collected a large amount of information about the accused by keeping a watch on them. Based on that information, a trap was laid near Pathardi in Nagar.
NCB Mumbai has succeeded in arresting four people who are residents of Pune in this case. NCB has also seized two vehicles used for transporting ganja. This ganja was brought to Pune for distribution. It was to be supplied to local vendors. But before that NCB arrested four smugglers residing in Pune. The names of the arrested accused are SM More, L Sheikh, R Mohit and S Sheikh. He is being investigated and Mumbai NCB is conducting further investigation in this matter.
