Chirabazar – The BMC squad seized illegal material allegedly to be used for the construction of a place of worship in Chirabazar area. The authorities have also issued notices to the concern to furnish their valid documents pertaining to this proposed construction site.
Following the directives of the High Court, the BMC carried out the action amidst police bandobast. Assistant municipal commissioner Ram Chavhan led this action. Newly elected corporators from the area, Rita Makwana and Akash Purohit, urged the BMC officials to seize the illegal material kept at the construction site.
The local residents had lodged a complaint for inconvenience caused to them by the construction material, informed junior engineer K. S. Mhatre.
