A man was killed in Sakinaka over an argument over drinking. The accused hit the deceased on the head with a bottle of toddy and then stabbed him with the same bottle, revealed a preliminary investigation. Sakinaka police have arrested a 40-year-old accused in this case. The deceased has been identified as Khurshid alias Rizwan Sheikh (36). He was a resident of Jarimari area in Kurla West. This incident happened at Jyoti Tadi-Madi Center in Kajupada.

In this case, the Sakinaka police arrested the accused Sher Ali Sheikh (40) with the help of the footage captured by the CCTV camera. Both the accused and the deceased knew each other. Both were sitting at the toddy-madi centre drinking toddy. At that time accused Sher Ali started abusing Khurshid due to an argument between the two. Angrily, he directly picked up a bottle of toddy and hit it on Khurshid's head. Accused Ali then stabbed Khurshid's stomach with the broken bottle.

The injured Khurshid was taken to Rajawadi Hospital. Doctors there declared him dead. Doctors said that he had serious injuries on his head and stomach. On the complaint of Shah Alam Sheikh, the Sakinaka police registered a case of murder. After that, the accused Sher Ali was identified with the help of CCTV camera footage and arrested.
