A video has surfaced on social media that has left viewers in disbelief. It captured a man in Mumbai violating traffic safety regulations by riding a scooter with seven small children. The video was shared on Twitter on June 20 by a user named Sohail Qureshi.
In the viral video, two children are seen squeezed between the handlebars of the scooter, while three others are sitting on the seat. Two more children are standing at the back, clinging onto the vehicle. The video quickly garnered attention. Many users expressed outrage at the man's reckless behaviour.
Sohail Qureshi went on to say on the tweet, "This irresponsible maniac is riding with seven children on a scooter. He should be immediately arrested for risking the lives of seven young children. Even the parents of these kids should be prosecuted."
In response to it, the Mumbai traffic police took immediate action. They arrested the man in central Mumbai. The man has been charged with attempted homicide and endangering the lives of others, including children. These charges fall under Section 308 of the Indian Penal Code.
