Mumbai man held for assaulting mother-in-law and inserting bamboo in her private parts

Man killed his Mother-in-law because she denied giving information about his wife. Police has added section 377 ((unnatural offences) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

On September 4, a 42-year-old man was arrested by Vile Parle police for assaulting and killing his mother-in-law. He also inserted bamboo in her private parts, reports stated.  

As per reports the incident took place at Vile Parle (East) around 11.30 pm at Pitlewadi on Hanuman road on September 2. The victim used to stay with her daughter. 

The accused married her daughter in 2011, and the couple has a daughter and a son. They are both aged below five years. The accused is a resident of Bamanwada in Vile Parle (East).

He was in Yerwada jail earlier, where he had just completed his three years of imprisonment in a chain-snatching case, reported in Dahisar. He was released from jail on September 1, as reported by The Indian Express.

Narrating the incident police officer told the media that after being released from jail, he went to meet his wife, where he learned that she had re-married. He threatened her to leave her husband. The next day, when he went to meet her and their children, they had already left.

Following which he asked his mother-in-law about their whereabouts, but she denied giving information to him. In a rage, he assaulted her with tiles and a knife. 

After assaulting her, he inserted a bamboo in her private parts and pulled out an internal organ.

With the help of informers, police learned that the accused was in Pune. However, he was arrested from Boisar, said the police officials.

There are already 28 crime cases lodged against the accused. He has been convicted in eight of those cases.
