When the traffic police took action for driving a two-wheeler without a licence, the incident happened in Sion on Sunday when the bike rider hit the policeman with his helmet. In this case, on the complaint of traffic police, Sion police registered a case and arrested the accused bike rider. The arrested accused has been identified as Tausif Abdul Majid Khan (27). He lives near Sheetal Cinema on Kurla LBS Road. The incident took place when the accused was at a signal near the Matunga traffic police post in Sion.

According to the police, the complainant, Anand Shayab (42), was working at the Matunga Transport Branch. He was working to regulate traffic at a signal near the checkpoint when he saw a young man coming on a two-wheeler. Suspicious, he asked the biker for his licence. But he didn't have a driver's licence. So when he took punitive action against the accused, the accused got angry. He hit his helmet on the head of the traffic policeman and tried to run away.


But the traffic police arrested him on the spot. After that, he was taken to the Sion police station and a case was registered against the accused. Sion police registered a case against the accused under sections 353 (obstructing government work) and 332 (assaulting a government employee) of IPC. The police informed that he has been arrested in this case.
