A 64-year-old woman was kidnapped and raped by a man on the pretext of leaving her at home, an incident has taken place in Mankhurd. The accused has also beaten the woman severely. Trombay Police has registered a case and arrested the accused in this case. The victim is a fish seller. On Monday around 11:00 pm, while she was going home, she met the accused Umesh Dhok (age 38) on the road.
The accused took her to his house in Mankhurd Maharashtra Nagar on the pretext of dropping her home on a two-wheeler. At this place the accused kept her in a room and raped her. After that, she was severely beaten and left outside the house at around 5:00 am.
Some citizens admitted the woman in a critical condition to a hospital and informed the Trombay police. Accordingly, the police admitted the woman to Rajawadi Hospital for treatment. Based on the woman's reply, the police registered a case and arrested the accused on Tuesday.
