Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar has received a death threat. However, it is learned that an unknown person made the threat call on December 21 around 6 pm.

The person called to Pednekar from an unknown number and was speaking in Hindi and also used foul language while she was in the Mumbai Municipal Corporation office.

A case has been registered at Azad Maidan Police Station on the basis of the complaint. Recently, she had been targeting the Bharatiya Janata Party and Enforcement Directorate (ED).

“ED is an important institution in our country. Whatever is true will be made public in a transparent manner. The public is also of the opinion that attempts are being made to suppress the voice. As a result, the opposition has got the upper hand. But what is true will definitely come out,” reacted Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar.

However, the police have maintained their silence over the issue and the accused is being traced. The complaint was filed two days after receiving the call. According to police, the investigation is being carried out.
