Driving while being intoxicated is one of the many complaints police receives and there have been many cases registered regarding the same. Mumbai Police have been taking strict action against those who consume alcohol and drive on roads, which could be fatal, for everyone including the driver or the rider.
But ever wondered what would happen if the police itself is found driving in the intoxicated state? What would happen if such a case could kill or injure anyone?
It has come to our notice that at 12:00 AM (midnight) on October 2, 2017, a police car could have led to a major accident. As per our credible sources, the police car - with 2 officers - was not being driven properly and lost control on the Western express highway in Kandivali East, close to the Saidham temple, as one of the officers (driving the car) was found drunk. It is also being said that the car could have hit and injured many who were present in the area, but thankfully did not.
The people present at the spot found that the driver had consumed alcohol. This made the people angry. On being questioned, both the policemen did not have any reply.

The video also shows the people questioning the police about the behaviour. Instead of being sorry and being guilty of the mistake, policemen in the car, in turn, misused the power and threatened, which certainly did not scare the people. The policemen were found in a drunken state while being in the uniform and driving the police car
The people took both the policemen to the Kasturba police station in Borivali East, and a case was registered keeping the drink and drive clause in mind.
