The cyber cell of Mumbai Police busted the thieves who were robbing citizens of money through online fraud in different guises. On October 5, the police managed to save as much as one crore rupees. The process of depositing this amount in the complainant's account is underway. In the past few years, the crime of cyber fraud has increased and extorting money from citizens by finding different forms is rampant. Various measures and activities are being implemented by Mumbai Police to prevent online fraud.
Also, public awareness is being done from time to time. The 1930 helpline has been started keeping in mind the increasing crime of online fraud. Meanwhile, on October 5, many Mumbaikars fell prey to online fraud. Cyber thieves looted as much as 1 crore 1 lakh 58 thousand 727 rupees from different cases. However, the citizens immediately contacted the helpline 1930 and filed a complaint. After that, the police froze the money after contacting the banks where the money was diverted.

Police were able to save 1 crore 1 lakh 58 thousand 727 rupees from this. Meanwhile, in the current year, the Cyber Police has succeeded in saving an amount of INR 114 crores so far through the helpline 1930.
