A 16-year-old student committed suicide in Chembur after she was caught copying by her teachers during the examination. The girl was taken to Rajawadi Hospital in Ghatkopar. Doctors declared her dead on arrival. Chembur police have registered a case of accidental death in the said case.


A 16-year-old girl was living with her family in the Indira Nagar area of Chembur Camp. She was studying in class IX. On Tuesday, during the exam, the teacher found the copy with the girl. The teacher then called the girl's mother to the school and told her what had happened. 


Upset the girl committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence. After that she was immediately taken to Rajawadi Hospital in Ghatkopar, however, doctors declared her dead on arrival. 


The Chembur police have registered a case of accidental death after taking preliminary information. The family members were not in a mood to talk about the girl's death, but their detailed answer will be recorded soon, said the police.
