Ghatkopar police arrested three robbers who were preparing to rob a gold shop. But two accused are absconding and police are searching for them thoroughly. Ghatkopar police were patrolling the area on Friday night. At this time, the police noticed some people doing suspicious activities outside Jawahira's Monalisa Jewelers shop in the area. Police detained three of them. But taking advantage of the darkness, both of them attacked.

When the arrested accused were searched by the police, the weapons required for the robbery were found in their possession and the police seized them. The names of the accused are Rajesh Kadam (38), Mahaveer Kumawat (36) and Hapuram Raj Purohit (22) and all three are residents of Thane area. Police have informed that all the three accused are criminals and 20 to 25 cases have been registered against them across the state.
