Marathi film actress Neha Pendse's jewellery worth INR 6 lakh has been stolen from her house and her husband's driver has lodged an FIR. According to Ratnesh Jha (47), a driver employed by Neha Pendse's husband Shardul Singh Bayas (47), the theft took place in his flat on the 23rd floor of Areto Building in Bandra West. The Free Press has reported about this.

On December 28, Bayas lost the gold bracelet and diamond ring he had received as a wedding gift four years ago. Bayas used to wear these ornaments outside and when he returned home, he handed them over to Sumit Kumar Solanki, the domestic helper. He kept it in the bedroom closet, the police complaint states.

Sumit Solanki along with other household helpers stay in the house. On the day of the incident, Bayas was getting ready to go out and was looking for jewellery in the cupboard. But, they did not find the jewels. So he inquired with all the people in the house. But, no one knew about the jewellery.

Meanwhile, Solanki was not at home when it was noticed that the jewellery was missing. So Bayas contacted Solanki. But he said that he was at his aunt's house in Colaba. When asked about the jewellery, Solanki said that the jewellery is always kept where it is kept. However, Bayas did not find the jewellery anywhere.

Complaint filed against Solanki due to suspicion

Growing suspicious of Solanki, Bayas instructed him to return home immediately. But Solanki delayed his return. So the suspicion on Solanki increased. As a result, Jha, the driver of Bayas, lodged a complaint with the Bandra police and expressed suspicion on Solanki. Although the police have arrested Solanki in this case, the stolen jewellery has not been recovered yet.
