Maharashtra ATS claim: Extremist Hindu outfit hit-list mentions “big personalities”

After the arrests have several suspects in connection with the Nalasopara Explosive Case, Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad has come up with various developments in the case. The ATS on Friday informed Mumbai sessions court that there were many names on organisation’s target.

ATS claimed that the names mentioned on the ‘hit-list’ made by the extremist Hindu organisation were including Akhil Bharatiya Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti Shyam Manav, Dr Narendra Dabholkar’s daughter Mukta Dabholkar, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Leader Jitendra Awhad and Ritu Raj.

Earlier in August, ATS arrested Vaibhav Raut for possession of explosives found at his residence and office. After this, ATS got its lead in the case and managed to catch Sharad Kalaskar, Sudhanwa Gondhalekar, and Shrikant Pangarkar a few days later. With the arrest of Kalaskar, the ATS found the link to Dabholkar Murder Case as well. 

In the Nalasopara Explosives Case, the ATS arrested five people including Avinash Pawar from Ghatkopar. On Friday, Pawar was taken to the sessions court and ATS urged the court to extend the police custody of the arrested accused given the information they had received during inquires until now.
