A three-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a bus driver after she was left alone as the last child on the school bus route in Navi Mumbai.
According to the report, the incident came to light after the child’s family noticed changes in her behaviour and alerted the authorities. The bus driver allegedly took advantage of the fact that the child was the only passenger remaining on the bus.
Police have initiated an investigation into the incident and are examining the circumstances surrounding the child’s journey and the conduct of the accused.
The case has raised serious concerns over the safety and supervision of young children travelling on school buses, particularly when they are left alone with drivers or other staff.
