On Tuesday, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) seized a significant amount of heroin from Vile Parle in Mumbai, reported ANI.

Based on the account, NCB offered information highlighting that heroin worth crores were seized by the authority. The agency is now seeking the suspect in the case, who is claimed to be absconding. Additionally, further investigation into the issue is ongoing, an FIR has also been filed in the case.

Apart from this, on October 8 the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) stated that it seized INR 125cr worth 25kg heroin from a container at Mumbai’s Nhava Sheva Port. The big drug bust happened during a raid by the DRI zonal unit, highlighted accounts.

Moreover, on September 12, the DRI seized nearly 3 tonnes that are 2,988.21 kg of heroin that was worth INR 21,000cr from two containers at the Mundra port. If reports are to be believed, the heroin was put in plastic pipes and painted to draw similarities to bamboos.

It is also claimed that it was being taken to Delhi, post which it was to be taken to various other states in India, prominently in Punjab. Whilst the investigation was transferred to the National Investigation Agency (NIA), the DRI had earlier nabbed 8 people.
