On Thursday, the Bombay High Court disposed of Sameer Wankhede, NCB Zonal Director’s petition that sought interim protection from arrest by stating that 3 days notice will be accorded to him by the Mumbai Police, highlighted reports.

Wankhede filed a petition on Thursday in the HC seeking relief against a probe, claiming that he was being attacked by the state government. According to accounts, he elaborated on how he believes that he is being personally attacked and is apprehensive that the state will arrest him and thus wanted interim protection.

In addition to this, he also demanded that the probe be given to the CBI or any other central agency in the issue. Citing that the law must protect him if his rights are being violated.

Wankhede has been in the eye of the storm ever since the arrest of Aryan Khan on the drugs on cruise case. On Thursday, Khan along with two others, namely Arbaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha were granted bail by the Bombay High Court.

NCP Minister, Nawab Malik has been taking to social media, to make “revelations” about Wankhede’s personal life. The Zonal Director’s family has also elucidated how they believe he is being targeted.
