At nearly 3 pm on Thursday, the Bombay High Court began hearing the bail applications of Aryan Khan and the other accused. The HC granted bail to Khan, Arbaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha in the drugs-on-cruise case. These updates come after three days of arguments in the HC.

Accounts quoted AG Mukul Rohatgi, who was representing Khan threw light upon the fact that the detailed order will be provided tomorrow, thus, it is anticipated that they will come out of jail either by tomorrow or Saturday.

According to reports, ASG Anil Singh who is representing the NCB stated that Khan is not a consumer of drugs for the first time, but was in fact regularly in contact with drug peddlers. He added that Arbaaz Merchant, one of the accused, is Khan’s childhood friend. Thus, even if Khan didn’t have drugs on him, he was part of the conspiracy.

He added that the case isn’t of consumption but possession and that Khan was in conscious possession of drugs. Further, he elaborated that WhatsApp chats show that Khan tried to deal in a commercial quantity of drugs. He also pointed out that Khan knew Merchant had drugs on him.

Moreover, he stated that the arrest memo spoke about the commercial quantities of drugs that Khan was connected with. Singh mentioned that the arrest is legal.
