After the news of Noorie, another rape case for a female dog has come to light. In this case too, CCTV footage helped in nabbing a 65-year-old man, who was seen molesting a street dog outside Nerul station.
The man was arrested from Nerul railway station on Sunday. Today (Wednesday) he has been remanded and sent to Taloja jail.
The activists that were demanding justice for these stray dog and the atrocities are satisfied with the latest development of this case.
For those unaware, Noorie is a friendly female dog that was raped in a mall in Powai. Her perpetrator had inserted an 11-inch wooden rod in her private organs and left her in a pool of blood. She was found by an animal lover who rushed her to a hospital. She was operated immediately and ever since been getting medical attention. Animal lovers had also organised a donation drive to collect money for Noorie's treatment. She is currently stable and responding well to the medicines. Her perpetrator too was caught by Mumbai Police in record time.
