NIA to investigate the case related to explosives found outside Antilla

Directives have been issued by the state home department, basis which, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is now investigating the car bomb and the anti-terrorism squad will investigate the death of car owner Mansukh Hiran.

A few days ago, Mumbai Police found a car outside industrialist Mukesh Ambani's house and it was said to be loaded with explosives. The car outside the Antilia residence raised security concerns among the government officials and the public. 

Reports state that gelatin sticks were found in the car, which was owned by Mansukh Hiren who  died under suspicious circumstances. 

However, the investigation is now being carried out by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) who are finding out information about the car bomb. Furthermore, the anti-terrorism squad will investigate the death of car owner Mansukh Hiran.  The case was being investigated by the Mumbai Police after explosives were found in the car and was later handed over to the ATS after the body of Mansukh Hiren was found in Mumbra Bay. 

Mansukh Hirne's wife and eldest son had filed the case at the ATS office.

On February 25, 2021, chaos and concerns was in the air when explosives were found in a car parked outside Antilia. Officials state that a threatening letter were found in the car, addressed to Mukesh Ambani and his family. 

The incident had also created a stir in the political circles of the state. Fadnavis had demanded that the matter be referred to the NIA for investigation, and Mansukh Hiren's death has added to the mystery of the case. Hiren's body was found in a suspicious condition a few days ago, and a subsequent autopsy report made a shocking revelation that  the left side of Mansukh's face had red marks of 1 cm by 1 cm. 

Besides this, another red mark of 1.5 cm by 1 cm was found near the left nostril of the face, and a dark red mark was found on the right side of the right eye towards the ear.  

As per the directives issued by the Maharashtra Home Department, the Thane City Police has handed over the case of Mansukh Hiren's sudden death to the concerned squad.
