Azad Maidan -The Scheduled Castes and Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 is once again in the news. OBC NT Party of India's President Sanjay Kokre wants the OBCs to be included in this Act. After the Winter Session of the Maharashtra State Assembly, this party is planning to lead the protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar followed by a letter addressed to PM Narendra Modi. Post Delhi, they will protest in the Beed district on 20th October & on 8th December during the Nagpur Session.
