Chunabhatti – Police constable Pratap Kisan Chavhan (45) died in a road accident after getting hit by a tanker at Chunabhatti.
Pratap Chavhan was working with crime branch unit 4. On Sunday evening, Pratap and his wife were riding towards Sion. Meanwhile, a tanker which was on its way to Wadala hit Pratap’s bike injuring both Pratap and his wife. Driver Shiv Charan Singh fled the spot and the duo was rushed to the hospital. However, doctors declared Pratap dead on arrival while his wife is critical.
Chunabhhati police have registered the complaint against the driver and have arrested him. They are investigating the case for further leads.
