The incident is of Andheri wherein a police constable lost his life while saving the life of an injured traveller. SV Patil, the police constable was on his duty when this unfortunate incident took place.
Turns out, on Monday night, Sonavane, the station master for Andheri made an announcement of a passenger being injured. Hence, to help the person, Sonavane along with four other officials including SV Patil went on to help him. But on their hunt for the injured person, Patil got struck by a down through fast local for Virar, number 91101. Patil was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the doctors.
