Police foil gangster attack bid on builder
Mumbai - A plan hatchd by gangster Ejaz Lakdawala's sharpshooters to murder a builder was busted by the anti-extortion cell. 25-year-old Sagar Tendulkar, 21-year-old Ankush Tayde and 24-year-old Sagar Chavan were on their way to assault the builder when the police arrested them and seized one pistol magazine, 5 bullets, a knife, a two wheeler and a mobile from them. A builder from the western suburbs had allegedly been getting threatening calls from Lakdawala, asking for an amount of Rs 2 crore. But he chose to go to the police instead, angering the gangster, who apparently hired contract killers to kill the builder.
