A 34-year-old car dealer was stabbed to death by a biker in Ghatkopar on Sunday afternoon, May 25. Both got into a heated argument over overtaking. The incident took place on the service road along the Eastern Express Highway.

The victim was identified as Zeeshan Rafique Shaikh. He was travelling with a friend in a four-wheeler and was heading to Kurla between 2:00 pm and 3:30 pm. 

When the car reached near a chowki under the EEH flyover, Shaikh and a passerby biker argued over overtaking. Both had stopped their vehicles, and soon the fight became physical. 

Shaikh got out of his car. The biker then pulled out a knife and stabbed Shaikh in the left side of his chest. He was with a woman who was seated behind him on an Activa scooter. After the stabbing, the biker fled from the spot.

Shaikh’s friend called the police. He rushed Shaikh to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival. Shaikh lived in Park Site, Vikhroli, and is survived by his wife, parents, and two children.

Pant Nagar police filed a murder case against the unknown biker. Multiple police teams from Zone Seven have been formed to trace him.
