A group of taxi drivers assaulted a BEST bus driver on Monday after he inadvertently hit a taxi while on his route. The assault, recorded on video by eyewitnesses, went viral shortly on social media.
Eyewitnesses say the BEST bus driver lost control over the bus and rammed into a taxi at Goregaon west. The BEST driver was apparently trying to get away afterwards, but the taxi driver intervened, forcing the bus to stop. The taxi driver then, along with two more drivers, tried to hit the bus driver with a stone but the group was stopped by people gathered there.
It was a BEST bus no. 201 which runs between Prabodhankar Thackeray Udyan to Goregaon West.
