RTI activist attacked at Lalbaug

Lalbaug witnessed a daring attack on a RTI activist on Friday afternoon. Two unknown assailants attacked RTI activist Vinod Jain in broad daylight.

Vinod Jain was traveling from Byculla on his two-wheeler when he was stopped by these assailants and stabbed in the back. Vinod rushed to the hospital in that condition. Kala Chowky police have recorded the statement of Vinod Jain and have registered the crime.

Vinod Jain has been actively pursuing the issue of illegal constructions in Lalbaug using RTI. He suspected that this attack was a result of his sustained campaign.
