In the 2008 Malegaon Blast case, the Bombay High Court granted bail to Sadhvi Pragya Thakur on Tuesday. Earlier, the investigating agency NIA has given clean chit to Sadhvi Pragya Thakur. The NIA claims that the trial against Sadhvi Pragya Thakur can’t be continued as they don’t have enough evidence to prove her case. The NIA admitted that the Sadhvi was considered as a person due to the motor cycle which was in the name of Sadhvi. But it was used by accused Ramji Kalasangara.

After the decision in the special court of NIA, Sadhvi Pragya and Colonel Purohit filed a petition for bail in the Bombay High Court. Colonel Purohit was arrested in November 2008 for charges of providing RDX.

In September 2008, six persons were killed and hundreds were injured in the blast in Malegaon located in northern Maharashtra.
