Actor Saif Ali Khan's home nurse Eliama Philip alias Lima and Aya Junu have identified the assailant in an identification parade. The recognition parade was held at Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai on Wednesday. Philip, who was injured in the January 16 attack at Saif Ali Khan's house in Bandra, identified the arrested accused Mohammad Shariful Islam Fakir during an identification parade held at Arthur Road Jail on Wednesday.


Sources informed that Lima and Junu identified the accused in the presence of five Panchs and Tehsildar. On the day of the attack, Philip first saw the accused Shariful. The assailant was armed with a knife and a stick, and demanded INR 1 crore from Philip. Then Philip and Saif's son Jahangir's nanny wakes up. He screamed for help. Saif and his wife Kareena Kapoor came out of their room. Seeing a stranger in the boy's room, Saif approached him. At that time, the attacker stabbed Saif six times with a knife. However, later the Khan family somehow managed to push the assailant into Jahangir's room and escape to the 12th floor. However, the door could not be closed properly and the assailant escaped from there.

Three days later, the Mumbai Police arrested the accused from the labor camp in Thane. Philip and the staff are key eyewitnesses. Because of that, they identified the accused as important evidence in the case. Earlier, the photograph of accused and arrested Shariful in CCTV was verified. It is clear that the person seen in the CCTV is Shariful. Apart from this, it is clear from the technical evidence like CCTV footage, mobile location that Shariful is the person who attacked Saif, the officer said. The accused is currently in judicial custody and lodged in Arthur Road Jail.
