The Rajasthan-based YouTuber, who was arrested last month on charges of threatening to kill actor Salman Khan and having links with notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, was granted bail by the Additional Metropolitan Magistrate on Monday. A case has been registered against Banwarilal Gujjar under provisions of Criminal Intimidation and Information Technology Act. After being sent to judicial custody, Gujjar applied for bail. Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate VR Patil, while ruling on Gujjar's application on Monday, granted him bail.

According to the case filed by the police in the case, Gujjar had released the footage on his YouTube channel. In it, he threatened to kill Salman Khan. At the same time, his links with Lawrence Bishnoi, Gold Brar and other gangsters were also mentioned. Police also said in the preliminary information report (FIR) that Gujjar created the video only to increase the viewership of his online channel.

On the other hand, Gujjar, while seeking bail, claimed that he was implicated in the case in the absence of any concrete evidence. We create videos for entertainment and publicity and publish them on YouTube. The FIR contains details of what exactly was said in the tape related to Salman Khan. But, in it, we have not said anything about killing Salman Khan. Therefore, Gujjar also claimed in his bail application that a case cannot be registered against him considering the section under which he has been charged.
