The Crime Branch has arrested two more accused from Punjab in connection with the shooting outside actor Salman Khan's house in Bandra. Both these accused are accused of supplying weapons. One of the arrested accused belongs to the Bishnoi gang and three cases of extortion and possession of weapons have been registered against him.


Sonu Subhash Chander (37) and Anuj Thapan (32) were arrested from south Punjab for supplying two pistols and live cartridges to the accused who fired at Salman Khan's house. Chander owns a farm and a grocery store. Thapan also works as a helper on the truck. Two pistols and 40 cartridges were supplied to both the accused by the Bishnoi gang.

Chander and Thapan had come to Panvel on March 15 to hand over those pistols. They stayed in Panvel for three hours. Chander and Thapan are suspected to have fired two shots before handing over the pistol to Gupta and Pal. After this operation conducted under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Daya Nayak, the police team arrived in Mumbai late on Thursday night with the accused. Both the accused will be produced before the Chief Magistrate's Court on Friday.


Vicky Sahab Gupta and Sagar Srijogendra Pal, who opened fire on Salman's house, were earlier arrested by the Crime Branch. Therefore, the number of arrested accused in this case has reached four. Pala opened fire outside Salman's house with a pistol provided by Chander and Thapan. At that time, Gupta was riding a motorcycle. Pal was in direct contact with Anmol Bishnoi. After firing, they left the bike in the Mount Mary area. After that they also destroyed the mobile phones and started using new mobile numbers.
