After Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut claimed that Sushant Singh Rajput didn’t share good relations with his father KK Singh, the late actor’s family has threatened to file a defamation case against Raut.

Neeraj Kumar Singh Bablu, the cousin of Sushant Singh Rajput and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA, on Monday, demanded an apology from the Shiv Sena leader for his remarks. Raut, in an article published in ‘Saamana’, said that the Bollywood actor didn’t share good relations with his father and was unhappy with KK Singh’s second marriage.

“I have sympathy for his (Sushant Singh Rajput) father but there are many things that will come to the surface. How many times did Sushant go to Patna to meet his father? He was not in good terms with his father,” Raut claimed in his article.

As this happened, Bablu threatened to file defamation against Raut for his remarks on Sushant Singh Rajput’s father and demanded an apology. The BJP MLA said that Raut’s remarks were highly condemnable.

Bablu further said that the Maharashtra government and Mumbai Police were politicising the SSR death case. Condemning the remarks made by Raut, Bablu said that the Shiv Sena leader was making such claims without knowing the facts.

“The claims made by Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut about the second marriage of Sushant’s father is fake. I will file a defamation case, if Sanjay Raut doesn’t publicly apologise,” Bablu said.

Earlier, in another editorial published in ‘Saamana’, Raut criticised the transfer of SSR death case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). He said that this attacks the autonomy of the Maharashtra government and was an insult to the Mumbai Police.

Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioned actor Rhea Chakraborty on Monday in connection with the money laundering case related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Her brother was also questioned by the ED for over nine hours.
