Dharavi – Senior citizens were brutally attacked by unknown assailants at Aazad Nagar in their home. Shafique Khan, 60 years old, could not survive the attack while his wife Halimunisa Khan, 55 years old got badly injured.
This untoward incident took place on Friday morning when two senior citizens were attacked in their home. This was first noticed by their neighbor who had returned from the jogging and saw Halimunisa Khan writhing in pain. Everyone started making noise. Hearing the noise, their daughter who was sleeping on the terrace came down and saw her parents in a pool of blood.
With the help of neighbours, she immediately rushed her parents to Sion hospital but doctors declared Shafique Khan dead on arrival and shifted his wife to ICU. Shahu Nagar police did the panchanama and have started their investigation.
