The Enforcement Directorate (ED) issued a second summons to businessman Raj Kundra and asked him to attend the inquiry on Wednesday. This summons has been sent in connection with the production of obscene film. Kundra is the husband of actress Shilpa Shetty. Sources said that summons have also been sent to model and actress Gahana Vashishtha in this regard.
The ED had summoned Raj Kundra and asked him to attend the inquiry on Monday. But he did not attend the inquiry on Monday. At this time, he demanded time to attend the inquiry. That demand was rejected by the ED and another summons was sent to them. He has been asked to attend the inquiry on Wednesday. Actress Gahana Vashishtha has also been summoned in this case and has been asked to attend the inquiry on December 9.
ED had raided 15 places a week ago in this case. It also included Raj Kundra's places. It also includes the places of Vashishta. In this case, the Mumbai Police had registered a case in May 2022 regarding the production of obscene films. Based on that, the ED is investigating.
The accused set up a company named Arms Prime Media in 2019 to produce obscene tapes and broadcast them. Through this company, HotShots, an application designed to broadcast pornographic tapes, was sold to London-based Kenrin. But it is alleged that most of the work related to this application was going on through Kundra. Raj Kundra had invested money to create this application. The crime branch had filed a charge sheet in this case. Actress Gahana Vashishtha was arrested by the Assets Cell of the Mumbai Police.
