Shiv Sena IT cell member Ramesh Solanki has filed a complaint against Netflix with LT Marg police station alleging that the online streaming platform is maligning Hindus and India. Netflix, a well known America media streaming platform, has managed to gather a large number of the Indian audience.

The popular web series - ‘Sacred Games’ which was in controversy earlier was also a Netflix original.

Earlier, Netflix and its shows have been the centre of controversies. Huma Qureshi’s Leila was also opposed by many people in the country.

Earlier, Shiv Sena’s Ramesh Solanki had filed an FIR against a TikTok video which called for revenge for the death of Tabrez Ansari, a Muslim youth who was killed by a mob and was forced to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Jai Hanuman’.

In the video which went viral, later removed by TikTok, a few young people can be seen saying, “you killed Tabrez and if his son takes revenge, don’t say that Muslims are terrorists”.
