In a shocking incident, an OLA cab diver was killed by three bike riders for overtaking their bikes. The incident took place in Shivaji Nagar, Govandi when the bike riders attacked the driver which killed him. Out of two the accused, one is on the run while the other two are in police custody.
Accused Imran aka Emo Sheikh (19), Abdul Wahab aka Bhondu Abdul Rahim Idrisi (21) and Wahid Ali Sheikh - who is on the run - were riding in Govandi’s Shivaji Nagar area. At the same time, OLA cab driver Salim Gulam Sheikh overtook their bikes and this enraged the accused who stopped his cab.
Before Salim could understand, they pulled him out of the cab and started hitting, thrashing and kicking him at Ahilyabai Holkar Marg, Shivaji Nagar around 7:00 pm on Monday. While hitting him, the youths banged his head on the ground and escaped. He was then taken to the Rajawadi Hospital but he died within few hours after admission.
Shivaji Nagar police have checked the CCTV footage and likely arrest the two but couldn't nab the third accused Wahid Ali Sheikh.
