A 52-year-old man was stabbed to death in the Wagle Estate area on Sunday because he did not pay for alcohol consumption. The name of the deceased is Vijay Chauhan. A case has been registered at the Srinagar police station, and police have arrested Sunny Baid (32).

Sunny Baid resides in the Valmiki Pada area of Ramnagar. He is addicted to alcohol. At midnight on Sunday, Sunny Baid started demanding money from Vijay Chauhan, a resident of the same area, for consuming liquor. When Vijay objected, Sunny stabbed Vijay in the stomach. After this incident, the citizens of the area came running to help Vijay. Citizens caught Sunny while he was running away. Vijay was admitted to the Thane District Government Hospital. Vijay died during treatment. After receiving information about this incident, Srinagar police reached the spot and arrested Sunny.
