Wadala - A Renault Duster car was allegedly stolen from Bhakti Park society, Wadala east on Wednesday. The modus operandi of the theft appears smart in its simplicity, say police. The car owner, Gopalkrishna Girdhar travelled to work on Tuesday in his car. While he was at work, his driver dozed off inside the car, leaving the windows open. The keys were allegedly stolen at this time. Girdhar says he returned home using a spare set of keys. The next day, an unidentified person walked into Girdhar's housing complex and drove off with the car, right under the security guard's nose. The police are now trying to trace the car, said to be worth Rs 10 - 12 lakh.
