Mahim Police arrested a 35-year-old taxi driver, Kazi (priest) and a mother. The trio was arrested because the mother of the 13-year-old girl married her daughter to taxi-driver who is three times older to her daughter. Those arrested are identified as Asif Khan (Taxi-Driver) and Kazi Ahmed Raza Sheikh. The minor used to live with her mother in Mahim area. Their living condition was very poor. In order to uplift the standard of living and improve the condition mother forcibly married her daughter.
Tired of physical rigorous physical pain, the girl fled from her husband’s house and reached her grandmother's house in Mumbra. The husband informed her mother-in-law about the scene.
After this, this merciless mother tried her best to get her back. The girl refused to go. The neighbours gave the information to the police as the child started crying. The police came and arrested them.
