Maharashtra: 38 IPS Officers Transferred

A total of 38 officers have been transferred, with a promotion to 11 officers. This includes officers such as Additional Director General of Police, Special Inspector General of Police and Deputy Inspector General of Police.

On Monday, 38 senior IPS officers in Maharashtra’s police force were transferred. Late last night, the transfer orders were proclaimed by the Home Department which had in its purview many areas that included the likes of Mumbai, Thane, Pune and Nagpur.

A total of 38 officers have been transferred, with a promotion to 11 officers. This includes officers such as Additional Director General of Police, Special Inspector General of Police and Deputy Inspector General of Police.

According to certain reports, Additional Director General of Police Ritesh Kumar has been transferred as the Head of the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Pune, whilst CID Chief Atulchandra Kulkarni has been appointed as the head of the Maharashtra Prisons department.

Ashok Morale, Additional Commissioner, Crime Branch, Pune City Police, has been transferred as Additional Commissioner, Crime Branch, Thane. Thus, the Additional Commissioner of South Division Sanjay Shinde has been transferred to Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate. In his place, Additional Commissioner R.B.Dahale has been appointed.

Aswathi Dorje, who is the Director of Maharashtra Police Academy in Nashik, has been transferred as Joint Commissioner of Police in Nagpur. Therefore, Rajesh Kumar Mor has been appointed in her place. Chhering Dorje will be the new Special Inspector General of Police in Nagpur, while Chiranjeev Prasad, who has been in the post till now, has been transferred to Mumbai as the Additional Director General of State Reserve Police.

Sudhir Hiremath, Deputy Commissioner, Pimpri Chinchwad, has been promoted to the post of Deputy Inspector General, Criminal Investigation Department. Likewise, Ramnath Pokale, Additional Commissioner, Pimpri Chinchwad, has been transferred as Additional Commissioner, West Division.
