Two dead as BJP MLA's car hits two-wheeler in Maharashtra's Thane district

Two were killed in Maharashtra's Thane district after their two-wheeler was hit by a car in which Murbad BJP MLA Kisan Kathore was travelling.

BJP MLA Kisan Kathore met with an accident when his car hit a two-wheeler on Sunday, December 13. Kathore is from Murbad Assembly constituency which comes under Thane district. At the time of the accident, he was travelling from Badlapur to Kalyan. 

As per the news the agency, the accident occurred near Vahuli village on Rayate Ambernath Road around 8 pm. Both the people who were on the two-wheeler died on the spot. After investigating by the police officials identified the deceased as Amit Singh and Simran Singh. They are residents of Netivali area in Kalyan. While Kathore and his bodyguard sustained minor injuries in the accident, after which they were treated and discharged from a privet hospital in Kalyan.

"A man and a woman were killed in the accident, though their names and other details are not immediately available. Senior officials have rushed to the spot," a police official said to news agency PTI.
