Sewri - Two persons suffered serious injuries when the car they were travelling in crashed into a road divider. The incident occurred on Sunday at 8:45 pm on the Eastern Free Way. Police say Amit Kumarlal Motwani was driving the Honda City towards Chembur, when he lost control of the vehicle. Both he and co-passenger Jaya Thakur were trapped in the car. Fire engines which rushed to the spot rescued the duo trapped in the car. Both were sent to JJ Hospital in Byculla, said senior police inspector Sunita Nashikkar.
