Government issues transfer orders to police officers in Maharashtra

As per the recently reported development, Nashik's Police Commissioner Vishwas Nangare Patil has been appointed in Mumbai's Law and Order division and Milind Bharamba has been appointed as the Joint Commissioner in the Crime division.

On September 2, 2020, several police officers from the state of Maharashtra were transferred and given new posts. Information regarding their new role was informed on Wednesday.

The Maha Vikas Aghadi government has ordered the transfer of police officers. Addressing the same, the Director-General of Police, Subodh Jaiswal, had earlier taken a stand that these police officers should not be transferred until Ganeshotsav 2020 is over. Keeping this in mind, the state government had extended the deadline for transfers until September 5. However, with the end of Ganesh Chaturthi festivities this year, the transfer orders have been issued to the officers. 

In a recently reported development, these officers have been given a transfer and will take over new roles in Maharashtra Police

  • Nashik's Police Commissioner Vishwas Nangare Patil has been appointed in Mumbai's Law and Order division as the Joint Commissioner  
  • Milind Bharamba has been appointed as the Joint Commissioner in the Crime division of the police department. 
  • Bipin Kumar Singh has been transferred as Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner
  • Sandeep Karnik will be the new Additional Commissioner of the West Division. 
  • Krishnaprakash has been appointed as the Commissioner of Police of Pimpri-Chinchwad
  • Deepak Pandey has been appointed as Nashik Police Commissioner
  • Manoj Kumar Lohia has been appointed as the Inspector General of Kolhapur
  • Nashik Superintendent Aarti Singh has been given the responsibility of Amravati Commissioner post.

Meanwhile, Pune Police Commissioner K.Venkatesh and Thane Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar have not been given transfer orders.
