On March 5, a woman policeman lost her life after falling from a local train at Nahur railway station. The name of this female policeman is Ashwini Domade (age 27 years). On March 5, Ashwini Domade was travelling by train with her husband. After alighting the train, she stood at the door of the train. As soon as the train started, Ashwini fell down with a jerk. At the same time another car came from the opposite direction and hit her.

Ashwini's husband, with the help of railway police and a porter, took her to Fortis Hospital in an ambulance. At 2:10 pm, doctors declared Ashwini dead. After this her body was sent to the government hospital for post-mortem. This incident created chaos at the railway station. Kurla railway station senior police inspector Sambhaji Yadav said the police tried to take her to Agarwal Hospital near Mulund. But her husband insisted that Ashwini be admitted to Fortis Hospital. The slow local stopped at Nahur railway station. After this, when the local train started again, the CCTV footage showed that Ashwini had fallen.


Husband tried to save

Ashwini's husband tried to save her by holding her hand, but she slipped. His head collided with a high speed local train going towards Dombivali. Police officials said her husband immediately jumped down and brought her to the station. Ashwini was working at the police headquarters in Thane. Ashwini had just completed her training and joined. This was her first job. It had been three years since the marriage. She lived in Kalwa East. Her husband works in a private company.
