The prestigious and the trailblazer of all BMM intercollegiate events, Cutting Chai hosted by R.D. and S.H. National College, Bandra came to a zestful but nostalgic climax after a thrilling three-day extravaganza. The event began on the 1st of this month and brought its curtain down on 3rd putting an end to a show which was jovially celebrated amongst all the BMM colleges of Mumbai. Cutting Chai is like the Mecca of the all BMM events where students flock in large numbers cheering for their respective colleges, dressing and cosplaying as per the theme of the festival.

 All the events were organized in the college campus, predominantly in the college auditorium. The major events roster included the dance event, the fashion show event, the band event and the main film event keeping the audience entertained and enthralled from beginning to the end. Many elite brands and sponsors like MSOD (Mumbai School of Design), News18 and Sony Mix etc backed the event which had the presence of students from 14 colleges.  The fest garnered a lot of publicity with famous celebs like Eli Avram, Vikas Gupta etc taking the stage and gracing the fest with their charming presence.

In the wake of a new tradition, all the celeb judges, college leaders, assistant college leaders were felicitated with custom made designer kettles which reflected the essence of the theme of Cutting Chai – Redemption XII, One Chai to Revive. The BMM students of nationals college worked day in and day out under the supervision and support of their respected BMM coordinator Dr. Meghna Kothari to make this event a grand success. Their efforts showed in their tears of happiness and their dance to the thundering, electrifying beats of Nashik Dhol which set, every student in that auditorium, raving. For the TYBMM students, it was an opportunity to set a legacy for their juniors and a sentimental moment recalling all the beautiful stories they had made in the course of the preparation for the event. Cutting Chai XII, started with cheers and whistles, ended with racing hearts and soulful hugs.
