Dadar – 27 February is celebrated every year as Marathi Bhasha Diwas (‘Marathi Language Day’).
Eminent playwright and poet, Jnanpith Award winner Vishnu Waman Shirwadkar a.k.a Kusumagraj was born on this day in 1912. To mark the day, members of media group ‘Newsless’ are visiting the Mumbai Live offices for a live dialogue on the state of the language, to discuss their poems and share anecdotes. Among those who will participate in the discussion are Prashant Dingankar, Sunil Tambe, and Suresh Thamke.
