Dadar’s famous Siddhivinayak temple will remain closed for five days starting from January 10 to January 14, 2018, confirmed the trustees of the temple. The reason for the temple to remain shut is that the idol of Lord Ganesha will be laced with sindoor for the upcoming Maghi Ganesh festival.

We know it will be inconvenient for devotees who come from various places to take blessings of Lord Ganesha. For their convenience, devotees will be able to seek the blessings of a replica of Lord Ganesha in the temple itself but the sanctum sanctorum will remain close."

Aadesh Bandekar, Trustee, Siddhivinayak Temple Trust.

Bandekar added that from January 15, 2018, devotees will be able to seek blessings of Lord Ganesh by entering the sanctum sanctorum.
