Yuvaa, India’s leading Gen Z-driven youth media, research and impact organisation, unveiled a one-of-its-kind trailer of ‘Be A Man, Yaar’ with Nikhil Taneja, India’s first chat show to have a fun, candid, unfiltered, raw and real conversation on ‘modern day masculinity’.

All set to launch on September 4, 2023, on Yuvaa’s YouTube channel, ‘Be A Man, Yaar’ is the first Indian chat series that aims to take the toxic out of masculinity by fostering honest and authentic conversations about what it truly means to be a boy, a man, and ultimately, a human being. The series is supported by Rohini Nilekani Philanthropies, with Amazon Music India as audio partner, that will stream longer episodes of the show exclusively.

The trailer features a lineup of renowned faces of the Indian media and entertainment industry like Karan Johar, Vicky Kaushal, Nakuul Mehta, Naseeruddin Shah, Zakir Khan, Naveen Kasturia, Amol Parashar, Vishnu Kaushal, Govind Kaushal and Sushant Divgikr.

Be A Man, Yaar attempts to create a safe space for self-expression, and for dismantling stereotypes through fun and engrossing episodes. Through the series, Yuvaa hopes to ignite a meaningful and informative discussion around masculinity, manhood and mental health and well being, to inspire boys and men to challenge societal norms.

Host Nikhil Taneja, Co-Founder and Chief of Yuvaa, expressing his excitement ahead of the launch of 'Be A Man Yaar’ said, “With Yuvaa, I have travelled across 150+ Indian campuses, and met 10,000+ young Indians in 30+ cities. Everywhere, young men speak about being lonely and not finding enough safe spaces to express themselves. Through ‘Be A Man, Yaar’, I’m excited to have created a platform that will hopefully make young boys feel heard and seen, and allow them to recognise and express their emotions, by taking inspiration from the vulnerability of our incredible guests. It’s time to create a culture of ‘positive masculinity’ and redefine what it means to ‘be a man, yaar’!

‘Be A Man Yaar’ includes many fun segments, including ‘Shoutouts to men we love’ and ‘Reading compliments from men!’, paving the way for candid conversations about what society expects from men. It explores the journey of "manhood," and covers issues such as childhood, adolescence, love, relationships, family, friendships, work, and self-discovery.
