Discovery School Super League is back with its Season 2, and this time the makers have promised a grand comeback. By leveraging the digital expertise, Discovery is the first one to host one-of-its-kind virtual quiz - with the help of latest technology - where children from all corners of the nation participated from the comfort of their homes, without risking their health.

A never-before scale, this new season of the show has reached out to more than 17,000 schools across 29 states and one union territory. A total of 6 million students participated on-ground in the initial round. The virtual on-air phase will feature 30 state-wise teams (2 students per team) who will compete in 5 semi-finals (6 teams per episode). The quiz offers an exciting reward - top 3 teams, along with their school principals, will win a coveted trip to NASA along with a cash prize.

Talking about the same, Mini Mathur said, “Hosting for DSSL 2 has been exciting, exhilarating and challenging experience because it’s the first time we managed to pull this off with some brilliant technology than enabled 60 kids to participate from the safety of their homes. It was exciting as usual because the level of quizzing of these kids was mind-numbing and I didn’t think that the energy would be the same, but I was wrong. They have the same excitement and the same will to win and learn and I am really proud of being at the helm of this superb show.”

Cyrus Sahukar added, “I am so excited to be a part of this because it is the only show in India where the entire quiz shoot was conducted virtually, and all the contestants connected from different states to participate. The true achievement of the show purely was the team who had put together and executed it smoothly during the ongoing- pandemic. It was amazing to work with these Byju’s and Discovery.”

The show will air every Sunday at 11 AM on Discovery Channel and Discovery HD, and will be presented by the multi-talented personalities Mini Mathur and Cyrus Sahuka
